Ability to highlight local HTML files (not PDF)

I have a number of local HTML files for sites not (or no longer) available on the Internet.
Would like it if Weava could support highlighting of those files.
For my specific case, I need to keep the files as HTML because in addition to Weava I also use other browser extensions to interact with them (such as "yomichan" for hover-dictionary-lookup of Japanese text) and converting them to PDF to use Weava means those other extensions no longer work.

We understand the convenience of using Weava in files other than web pages or PDFs. Your idea of allowing HTML files is great, since users will be able to use Weava both online and offline. Although we are not able to satisfy your requirement at this moment, we assure you that we will keep monitoring the voting status and keep you updated.
